Privacy notice
Last updated 29 October 2026
Klaarwerk Studio respects your privacy and follows South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This notice explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your name, business name, phone number and email address.
- What you tell us about your business when you ask for a quote, chat to us or become a client.
- Content you send us for your website, such as your logo, photos and prices.
How our website handles your details
Our quote form doesn't save anything on our website. When you tap "Send on WhatsApp", it opens WhatsApp with your message typed out, and you choose whether to send it. Our website doesn't use tracking cookies or advertising trackers. Our fonts load from Google Fonts.
Why we use it
To reply to you, prepare your quote, build and look after your website, and send invoices. We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to do the work, such as WhatsApp, Google (email and Google Business Profile), our hosting provider and the domain registry for your .co.za. We share only what each of them needs.
Contacting businesses
We sometimes contact businesses once, using the business contact details they publish, to ask whether they'd like to hear about a new website. If you reply "NO", or ask us to stop at any time, we won't contact you again.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Invoices and payment records are kept for 5 years, as required for tax.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to us using it. If you're unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
